Waldorf education is a holistic approach that honors the whole child—head, heart, and hands. It seeks to nurture creativity, critical thinking, and a sense of purpose through developmentally appropriate academics, the arts, movement, and meaningful work. Rooted in a deep understanding of human development, Waldorf education values rhythm, imagination, nature, and relationships.
-
No. While Waldorf education holds a deep reverence for the human spirit and the natural world, it is not affiliated with any specific religion. We strive to honor the universal values of wonder, gratitude, rhythm, and celebration that are shared by all people.
-
Main Lesson is a focused, thematic block of learning that spans several weeks and begins each day. It allows students to dive deeply into a subject—such as Norse myths, zoology, or local geography—integrating language arts, art, and experiential learning. This immersive approach supports deep understanding and connection.
-
In our Grades program, teachers stay with the same class from 1st through 5th grade. This allows for strong bonds between teacher, student, and family and a deep understanding of each child’s learning journey. It also brings a strong sense of continuity and community to the classroom.

Yes! We believe children thrive when they are connected to the natural world in all seasons. With proper gear, children play, learn, and explore outdoors, rain or shine, snow or sun. We trust nature to be one of their greatest teachers, and we provide guidance for appropriate clothing so everyone stays comfortable and safe.
-
Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing is essential. Children should be ready to climb, explore, get muddy, and move freely—no dress clothes necessary! We’ll provide a gear list to help prepare for seasonal changes.
